The singer-songwriter Lenine's tenth album of his career, Chão, cannot be called as a surprise because he has already established itself as one of the most powerful voices of contemporary Brazilian music. It is a work at the same time electro-acoustic, avant-garde and (why not?) outdated. A mature work of ten tracks, taken from the musician's spritit, as a reflection on the current phase of the life and career of the musician. Lenine construct songs that sound more like "grooves", edited and finished tracks themselves, keeping intact its peculiar style, based on the rock in northeastern folklore and in the best of MPB. Although he exhibits a tendeyncy to over-rationality, Lenine's work is one of the best albums of Brazilian music in 2011.
